celebrate your dog with pet photography
The look in their eyes, the wag of their tail when they see you, the gentle tap of a paw, our pets say so much without words. I love capturing the little moments that show your connection, even when the photo shows just them; the way they interact with you tells the whole story.

The photographer
Owner of wren louis photography
I’m a devoted dog mum who grew up in Australia, fell in love with a kind Englishman, and now call Pasadena, California home, sharing it all with our lively 8-year-old Jack Russell, Grace. Photography has captured my heart since school, and dogs have always been my greatest joy. Bringing the two together through my pet photography business feels like finally coming home.
I also pour my heart into volunteering as a photographer for Pasadena Humane Society work that truly matters and fills me with purpose.
THE IMPORTANCE OF PET PHOTOGRAPHY
Memories Of Max
Max and I shared a special bond, he followed me everywhere, loved our runs and walks, cuddled on my lap, and snuggled into me at night. His charm, humor, and intelligence made me laugh every day, even howling along to my favorite songs. When he passed, I was heartbroken. Looking at the photos I captured of him, his personality and character leap off the page, the smiles, playful barks, and loving gaze he gave me. Those images keep him alive in my heart and show that pet photography preserves the bond, joy, and soul of the pets we love.

Step Two
Planning the Perfect Shoot
We’ll arrange a meet & greet, I find it nice to see you in person and to get to know your pet and for them to get comfortable with me too. I can answer all your questions, I’ll have my own questions as well. If time is tight then we can arrange a call instead.
Step Three
Next is the Big Day
The photo session!! Time to have fun and enjoy the experience of capturing your pets personality, spirit and everything you love about them.
I will then professionally edit your images and put together the story captured in photos from your session.
Step Four
The Ordering Appointment
The most exciting part, the reveal of the images. This is usually 1-2 weeks after your session.I will meet with you for your ordering appointment and go through options for displaying your favorites so you can enjoy seeing them every day.
You’re not just after some photos. You really want someone who gets how special that bond with your dog is and actually cares enough to capture it right. From the first time we chat to when those prints or canvases finally end up in your home, I’m in it with you the whole way. I’ll give a little direction when it helps, but mostly I let the real moments happen on their own. The ones that just melt your heart.
I’ll guide you through product selection. Maybe a nice album to flip through, a framed shot that stops you every time you walk by, or a big canvas that feels like they’re right there. Because that love deserves to stick around forever, looking as beautiful as it feels.
What I have learnt about dogs through my wonderful clients over the years…According to them:
They love us so completely and without judgment that we start to believe we’re worthy of love and begin loving ourselves more.
They sense our pain and show up with gentle, intuitive comfort leaning in, staying close, or simply being present without needing words.
They give us a sense of purpose and routine that anchors us during dark times, pulling us out of isolation one small act at a time.
They offer pure, joyful presence that helps us live in the moment and release worry about the past or future.
They provide a bond of trust and security that lowers our defenses, allowing us to open up emotionally and heal through connection.
